Aizendō Shōman-in, located in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City, is a historic temple said to have been founded in 593 (the first year of Empress Suiko’s reign) by order of Prince Shōtoku.
Originally built as a guardian temple of Shitennō-ji, it is formally known as “Shōman-in Aizendō” and has long been cherished by the local community.
The principal deity enshrined here is a rare Buddhist figure known as Aizen Myōō.
